Outline

A 3D animation project focusing on combining personal branding elements into an immersive walk-through of
my latest identity.

Concept

A logo is a representation of who someone is as a person and a brand. A home is a place people find security and comfort. I decided to combine these two factors because my logo is something that is more than a representation of who I am and my brand; it is a mark that I find security and representation. My logo is an extension of who I am.

Process

It all started with a flat logo I had designed in Adobe Illustrator that represented me as a designer through pastel colors and 3D illusion. I then modeled the logo in Cinema and saw that it looked pretty barren. Thinking about logos being an extension of who I am as an individual I decorated my logo with elements that represent rooms that I find most influential and comforting in my life. Using Illustrator paths and my Cinema 4D knowledge I modeled each room and animated all elements. I got inspiration from watching the Home and Garden television network.

Story Boarding

When conceptualizing this animated short I knew I wanted to create a scene that allowed me to showcase rooms generating. I wanted to represent what it is like entering a space of familiarity and comfort, but also touch on the concept of not knowing exactly where everything is. These rooms are spaces that I've spent most of my times growing up in. I know where everything is and where to look to find what I'm looking for. However you the viewer do not know where to look.
So I designed this walk through to guide you through my vision of rooms, rooms that have subconsciously made me into who I am today. When it comes to branding it is good to look into the past of each client and analyze what has made that brand into what it is today.

I chose M o r n i n g by Brian because it radiates a soft melody and paired with contrasting micro beats.
I wanted a soft mood to reflect the comforting elements a home brings to an individual, and I believe the micro beats and tones play a good roll in adding to the concept of each rooms pieces building each other out. Almost like the little bits and fastens coming together.
